Using Curves

I have numbered the spots that I chose for putting adjustment dots on the graph. When a dot is selected (it will turn black) you can move it with the arrow keys. This can make it a lot easier for making precise adjustments.

It doesn't look like I've moved the graph much, but you will see in the before and after pictures, that when the tones are as close together as these are, a little goes a long way. Do note that the lowest values (below point 1) have actually been blocked out i.e. those values will print totally black.
