Comparing Enlargements
page oneI have scanned an 8x10 enlargement made from a 35mm negative, and an 8x10 enlargement made from a 4x5 negative and placed them below. On top is the 35mm enlargement, bottom is the 4x5 enlargement. Both were scanned at 70 % scale. No improvements were made to the scans in Photoshop.
The red squares mark the area that I will show you on the next page. I made 500 % scans of the marked areas so you can see the difference in detail and grain.
